Talk about bringing together town and gown! 

“Our orchestra has a home at last,” announced Christopher Newton to a burst of applause from an enthusiastic late November audience in Partridge Hall, largest of four venues in St. Catharines’ spanking new FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre.

The $60-million facility, designed by Diamond Schmitt Architects of Toronto (with Gary McCluskie as lead architect) is a long awaited project of the City of St. Catharines, a sometime industrial centre of close to 130,000 people long in need of downtown revitalization.
