Summer Company is funded by the Government of Ontario and provides young entrepreneurs with the opportunity to start their own business. The program offers hands-on business coaching and mentoring from local business professionals, as well as training and support from the Enterprise Centre. Successful applicants will receive an initial award of $1,500 allocated for start-up costs related to their business.
Over the course of the summer, students will learn what it takes to manage a business, including sales, marketing, bookkeeping, customer relationship management and networking skills. After successful completion of the program, participants will receive a second grant of $1,500.
