It’s rare for a woman to be the owner of a company in the construction industry – and even more rare for a woman to be a founder. It's something Kelly Braun never question when she started Kraun Electric in 1996 with her father and brother.
After 25 years, Kelly continues to power potential through compassion as Kraun’s co-owner and Chief Human Resources Officer.
From receptionist to accountant, project coordinator to office manager, Kelly has worn many hats (a full-service electrical contractor) in guiding the company from 8 employees at the very beginning to more than 100 strong today.

Words of advice
For young women, try it, do it, get out there. Work with your hands. Get dirty. There’s no ceiling. There are amazing jobs to be had in the construction industry.
